Come join us for a weekend of fun and games as the district puts on the Scout Olympics.
Be prepared for individual, patrol and troop competition.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills will be offered for all adults.

Requirements:
- Riders Must be able to mount unassisted, ride balanced and alert, and must not exceed 200 lbs.
- Long Pants
- Riding Boots [Western riding boots (smooth-soled, with a 1” heel, no laced boots allowed)]
- Raincoat with a hood and rain pants (The pants need to be one size larger than the participant would usually wear or large enough to allow for flexibility in mounting and riding.)
- Helmets while on horseback (provided by Philmont)
- Class A Uniform

Travel:
- July 15– Travel (About 11-hour drive) to New Mexico (Stay at campsite near Philmont)

- Bring Sack Lunch (We will stop to eat on the way)
- We will provide dinner at camp site
- Bring Snacks if you want them (No sunflower seeds or messy snacks)

The Timpanogos and Silver Sage Districts Fall Camporee is going to be a fun, hands-on learning and achievement experience featuring a variety of activities and events for the Scouts and adults.
Activities:
Scouts –
- Merit Badge Introductions
- Adventures for Troops and Patrols
- Inter-troop Games
- Campfire Program
- Bring your Scout skills and friends for a weekend of fun!
Adults –
- Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (Scoutmaster-specific required training)
- Since you’re at camp already – why not join in?! This hands-on training gives adult leaders a practical introduction to the patrol method of a Scout-led troop by teaching many of the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out- of-doors.
- Every scout deserves a fully trained leader!
Scout camp this year will be in Moab Utah.
We will be staying at Warner Campground, Manti La Sal National Forest, Forest Rd 0063, Moab, UT 84532 which is approximately 1 hour from Moab.
When: June 26 – June 30
Leaving: Monday, June 26 at 8:00 AM. We will meet at Craig Peterson home. Please eat before you come and bring a sack lunch.
Gear Drop Off: Bring with you when we meet on Monday, June 26.
Returning: Friday, June 30 between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM (Depends upon how quickly we have camp taken down and are on the road.)

Here are some reminders:
- Each scout will need a BSA Physical filled out. It will need all of Parts A, B & C filled out and the physical filled out and signed by a medical doctor. Please include a copy of your Medical Insurance Card. Turn in by 6/22/2023. Need the forms? Click on “Forms/Information”
- Packing list can be found under “Forms/Information”.
- Rafting release will be given out 6/15/2023 in scout meeting. Copy can be found here. This must be a physically signed copy by parent/guardian and turned in by 6/22/2023.
- Bring bike and approved bicycle helmet.
- If you want to fish, bring fishing license, fishing tackle, and fishing pole.

Ice Conditions- Ice is 9-13 inches thick. Always check the ice before you go out. A layer of slush about 8″ thick is covering the reservoir.
